Now on view at Fotomuseum The Hague Xiaoxiao Xu’s first solo museum exhibition “Life Along the Long Wall”. Two of Xiaoxiao's most recent series are displayed: Shooting the Tiger (2014) and Watering My Horse by a Spring at the Foot of the Long Wall (2017-2018).

Xiaoxiao Xu’s journey along the Great Wall of China was a 25,000 km road trip and part of Xu’s exploration of the country of her birth. Her compassion for the people she met around the wall and the stories she tells about them reveals a part of Chinese culture and society through the eyes of someone who looks at it with both distance and recognition.
